It’s great to be back writing in the spring edition of Launceston Life.
After quite a wet start to the year, I am very pleased that our local reservoirs are now at capacity.
According to South West Water, this means we won’t need a hosepipe ban this year. I have spent lots of time in Launceston recently thanks to the Parliamentary recess over Easter. One of the things that local people talk to me about is the potential closure of the Gateway Centre. I have suggested they apply for funding, and I would happily support an application for this amazing facility.
Another issue was road safety, many people have said there is an issue with the Southgate Street and Race Hill junction in the town due to the lines not being visible causing numerous accidents, Cake Away had raised it with Cornwall Council several times and I have also contacted the highways team to look into the issues at the junction which now should have now been repainted by the time of you reading this. If you know of a dangerous road or street in Launceston please get in touch.
I have got a health survey running at the moment. You can fill it out by scanning the QR code or by contacting my office who will send you out a paper copy in the post.
I hold advice surgeries all-over North Cornwall where constituents can meet, have a chat, and share their concerns with me, so if there is anything I can help you with please contact me via my office by
email: scott@scottmann.org.uk or telephone: 01208 74337.

I am not currently an MP, as Parliament has now been dissolved until after the General Election.
