Birds on Bikes, raising money for Children’s Hospice South West

A group of residents from the Launceston and Plymouth areas are embarking on an adventurous cycling challenge to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

Made up of 14 dedicated and passionate individuals from all walks of life, the group are coming together to raise funds for CHSW by participating in the annual ‘Ride for Precious Lives’ cycling challenge, taking place over three days in July and riding 225 miles from Bristol to St Austell.

Last year the group entered four participants and they managed to raise nearly £7,000 for the charity. This year, and with a bigger group, they’re aiming even higher - hoping to raise a whopping £14,000!

Every £20 raised will provide one hour of nursing for a family, who would no doubt be eternally grateful.

Birds on Bikes’ next fundraising event will be a live music night at Launceston Football Club with band ‘Nine’ on 14th May, plus an open garden and cream tea event the following Sunday afternoon.

There will also be a grand draw with amazing prizes to be won on 24th June, with tickets available to buy from Zebediah’s, Launceston Cycles, Greggs and Quick & Son.
