Christmas in a Brewery...Firebrand opens its doors for festive parties

On Thursday, 2nd December, Firebrand Brewery opened its doors to guests for its media Christmas dinner.

Guests travelled from across Cornwall and beyond for a bit of festive cheer and a lot of top-class beer. The event signalled the start of the brewery’s offering of Christmas parties with a difference, enabling offices, families and groups of friends to have their Christmas meal at Firebrand taproom on Pennygillam Industrial Estate.

The evening started with drinks in the taproom, followed by a tour of the brewery by Firebrand’s founder and head brewer Joe Thompson, where guests learnt the stages of brewing and got a chance to have a closer look at its ingredients.

Dinner was served shortly after: warming dishes from Cornwall-based chef Adam Banks, paired perfectly with the equally warming

glasses of Firebrand beers. The Stuns’ls, St Austell-based shanty group, provided the evening’s entertainment - gaining a few extra members from keen-to-participate guests along the way - before the evening drew to a close.

Firebrand’s taproom is open for food and drinks every Friday, 4pm-9pm, and Saturdays, 12pm-6pm.

Their Christmas parties, featuring barbecue feasts and plenty of beer, take place throughout December.
