The team at Launceston Coop are celebrating after another successful toy appeal, and have expressed thanks to the local community for their generosity.
Bundles of toys have been donated to Launceston Foodbank thanks to the donations from Coop customers and members over the past couple of weeks. Last year, Coop Member Pioneer Gemma Massey introduced the idea of a toy appeal within local stores and at Coop funeral care too.
Following such a successful appeal in December 2022, the team went on to launch an annual Easter appeal too, all leading up to the most recent second toy appeal.
Gemma said: "It has been another difficult year for so many; to see the generosity from our customer yet again has been so heartwarming. Thank you to everyone who has taken time to drop off a toy to one of our collection points, it really will make a difference to our local children and families in need."
The toys were delivered to Launceston Foodbank on Monday, 11th December and will now be included in hampers distributed to local families this Christmas.
