Check out this little summary of just some of the lovely local events that you can look forward to this summer in and around Lanson!
Launceston has already had an extremely exciting summer with a Royal visit from His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall and we have just had Launceston show!
However, school is out and there is a lot more excitement to be had this summer. Launceston is by no means filtering its fans to the beaches with a great line-up of local events to pull people into the town.
This weekend Tre, Pol and Pen are doing an outdoor screening of Grease on the 30th July. Doors will open at 6pm and the film will start at 8:30pm so grab your tickets here.
Today is also the first day of the Charles Causley Festival. Events and activities will be taking place until the 31st of July so make sure you don’t miss out.
Tomorrow, for you music fix, you could pop along to the Firebrand Brewing Co. Go Beyond Sessions! Music at a Brewery - what could be better to kick off the summer holidays! The Pigeon Detectives are headlining with support from local band, The Ultra Violets! Grab your tickets here.
If you’re going to miss this event, don’t worry you can still get your booze and boogie in at the Frog and Bucket on the 13th of August from 4pm – 10pm who will be raising money for Cornwall Air Ambulance. Enjoy DJ Dave’s Duke box, a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses, games and much more!
However, if you’re looking for a more serene activity this summer, don’t miss out on the Flowerpatch Quilters Exhibition at Cowslip Studios on Tuesday the 2nd of August – the 6th. There will be a raffle, stalls, fabric, books and sundries! Its just £2 to enter which will be donated to the Cornwall Wildlife Trust!
