Local youngster, Georgia Simpson has been doing her bit for charity this month. Do you think you could balance an egg on a spoon? What about a red nose?!
That’s what Georgia, 5, has been doing. Making her way to Altarnun Primary School each morning and home again in the afternoon last week, Georgia has been balancing a Comic Relief red nose on her spoon each time, in an effort to raise money for the annual charity fundraiser, which this year took place on Friday, 19th March. This was far from your usual egg-and-spoon event!
Overall, Georgia managed to raise £215 - a fantastic amount to go towards Comic Relief’s work to help people living in poverty.
Mum Ruth said: “She’s done a great job and we’re very proud of her!”
