Want to advertise with us? Here's what you need to know...

Are you a business owner in the Launceston area looking to promote your work or services locally? Have you thought about advertising in a local publication, but don’t know where to start?


Launceston Life is a three-year-old community magazine, now reaching 12,000 homes in the PL15 and PL16 postcode areas. We have also increased the pagination of our magazine to 92 pages overall, meaning more space for advertisements, news and pictures!

We are a small, dedicated team with a passion for supporting local businesses and the community whenever possible. Advertising is led by Claire Pearce, who has a wealth of experience in the field and is dedicated to ensuring all customers are happy with their final product.


So what do you need to know about advertising with Launceston Life? Let us tell you a bit more!


How many editions should I book?

You are free to book as many editions as you feel necessary, but we do recommend booking a full year of advertising for your business, which comes at a discounted rate. This means your business will feature in each of our quarterly editions, gaining much more exposure over the year and being hugely beneficial to you and your business. If you need to make changes to your advert in each edition, no worries - just send your amendments to Claire before the deadline and she will see it’s sorted!

Can I have editorial with my advert?

Yes, where possible, though as you can imagine we like to feature as much community news as we can! We love to incorporate as much community focused editorial as possible into the magazine - whether it’s about a new product in-store, some fantastic new changes made at your office, a new project you’re working on or anything that you want to make people aware of. Claire would be more than happy to discuss charges to include advertorial alongside your advert.



When should I book my advert?

We recommend getting in touch with us well in advance before our magazine goes to print each quarter. For example, if you’d like to enquire about our spring magazine, which is distributed in early March and printed late February, we would recommend enquiring about advertising at the start of January or even earlier. Space goes quickly - which is great, but we want to make sure as many businesses as possible are able to benefit from advertising in Launceston Life.

We also have deadline dates which MUST be met to ensure your advert is looking its best and that you’re happy with it. Deadlines can be supplied upon booking.



What information should I include to get the best result?

For copy, try to include the main details which would stand out to a potential customer or client. What are you trying to sell? Who are you trying to reach? Basic details about the services you offer or the products you’re aiming to get out there are a great starting point, and you can always include your business address and contact details. You could also include a small snippet about yourself or your business to make your advert more personal!
