Make new friendships at Lanson WI

The ladies of Lanson WI are encouraging women of all ages to join their friendly group on a Wednesday evening each month, at St Mary’s Church Hall, Tower Street.

Having celebrated its 100th birthday in 2019, Lanson WI members have been able to take part in a plethora of activities over the course of a century, including planting and maintaining the plants on Pennygillam roundabout, plus many fun outings across Devon and Cornwall; day trips down the Exe, the Fal to Looe on the train and various shopping centres have been just some of the highlights.

Membership is growing, made up of women new to the WI and welcoming back those who are rejoining.

Any ladies interested in coming along to meet the members and see what they get up to, are warmly invited to attend the monthly meetings. There is a rota for teas and coffees - so everyone gets a turn on

drinks duty, and don’t forget the biscuits! - usually served before talks and demonstrations.

Lanson WI presents a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and enjoy some fascinating outings,

with up and coming events in the planning, plus annual trips to Launceston Show and the Royal

Cornwall Show in the summer.

Interested? Email lansonwi@aol.com to find out more information. Meetings take place at 7.30pm,

with spring dates including: 20th March, 17th April and 15th May. Talks with a local author, flower

grower and artist are on the cards for these meetings!
