With the retirement of Garfield Gubbin from the much-respected G F Gubbin Funeral Directors, he has passed his business on to a likeminded family funeral business.
After successfully operating for eight years, in and around the Bude area, it is with great pride that Denise Wellington Funeral Services, a family owned, independent funeral business, have accepted the opportunity to take on G F Gubbin Funeral Directors of Launceston.
Following Garfield’s decision to retire, the Wellington family said they are ‘extremely honoured’ to have been offered his long-standing business. Garfield said: “I want to express my thanks to all the wonderful people I have met. Your support and friendship have been invaluable and it has truly been a privilege to have been able to help. Having Denise, Daryl and Harry to take up the baton, will mean that you will receive an even better service in the future. Just like myself, they are committed to caring for the people they come into contact with, their guidance and advice will be essential. I would like to wish them every success in their new venture.”
There will be a transition period, whereby G F Gubbin Funeral Directors will operate as part of Denise Wellington Funeral Services. This will ensure a continuity to the professional service provided for bereaved families both now and in the future. Denise and Daryl Wellington’s eldest son Harry will be stepping into Garfield’s shoes and taking on the role of Funeral Director.
As Garfield moves into a very well-deserved retirement, the team at Denise Wellington Funeral Services wholeheartedly wish him all the very best for the future. If you require further information please contact GF Gubbin Funeral Directors on 01566 785340.
