A summer of adventure with Launceston Cycles

With warmer months ahead, cycling is an ideal way of exploring the local area. We chat to Simon from Launceston Cycles about how they can help you get on your bike!

Hi Launceston Cycles! How excited are you for another summer of cycling?

Coming out of a very busy spring, we are super excited to welcome the summer with nice long nights so everyone can get out on their bikes for even longer - we just need the sun to do its thing! We have lots of new ranges of both bikes and clothing to get you going into a summer of riding.

What's the difference between road bikes and e-bikes, and what are the benefits for each?

Even though there has been a huge revolution in the use of e-bikes, unassisted bikes are still by far the greater number in the market. They are green for the keen enthusiast who just want to get out and cycle for fitness and fun. E-bikes win though, with people who have maybe not cycled for many years, are recovering from an injury or illness, or just need some help getting up the hills. E-bikes simply make cycling more accessible to everyone.

If someone would like to start cycling more this summer, what would your advice be?

Firstly pop in and see us for a coffee and a chat so we can understand exactly what you are looking to achieve, and get you onto a bike to suit both your needs and your budget.

If you would like some assistance in finding the perfect bike for you, pop in and see the team at Launceston Cycles on Pennygillam Industrial Estate, or give them a call on 01566 776102. You can also join the local cycling club Launceston Velo, who use the shop as a base and ride every Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday.
