Explore Roadford Lake for a great day out this spring

Whether your passion is watersports, angling, walking, cycling or simply enjoying nature with loved ones, you’ll find the perfect setting at Roadford Lake.

With miles of accessible footpaths and purpose-built cycle trails to explore, woodlands to discover, wildlife to observe and a café with stunning views over the lake, there is something for everyone. It’s your outdoors – come and explore!


Try out the delicious new menu at Roadford Lake Café. There is also a large function room suitable for weddings and meetings, which is available for local groups and clubs to hire. For more information contact lakesidereception@swlakestrust.org.uk


Younger visitors will love the free interactive visitor centre and the new inclusive play area, both next to the café.


On the other side of the lake, an action-packed programme of adventurous activities is awaiting at Roadford Lake Activity Centre. Hire watersports equipment, launch your own, or learn something new by taking part in an activity session, booking a course or joining a club. Clubs include sailing for adults (Wednesdays) and children (Saturdays).


During April, take advantage of ‘locals month’ to receive a 25%discount on equipment hire – a thank you to the local community for their continued support. You can also claim 10% off lunch items in the café when hiring equipment; just show your booking confirmation email at the till.


During the school Easter holidays, join a ‘have a go’ session and try your hand at paddleboarding, windsurfing, archery, high ropes, sailing or kayaking. There are also multi- activity days full of adventure for those aged eight to 16.
